REVISED ADMISSION NOTICE 2012-16

 

Applications on prescribed forms are invited for admission to the following 4 year Degree Programmes:

i) B.S Applied Geology 4 year programme Morning (Normal) F.Sc   (Pre-medical/Pre-Engineering/General   Science   Group/Geology/3   Years   Diploma   in  
Associate Engineering) at least with 2nd  division.  
ii)      BS Applied Geology 4 year programme Evening (Self Support)  
     
iii) BFA Hons.(Bachelor of Fine Arts) 4 Year Programme. (Normal) F.A/F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    
iv) BS (CS) 4 Years Program (Normal)   F.Sc   (Pre-engineering/pre-medical).   Intermediate   in   General   Science,   Computer   Science,  
      Commerce   and   three   years   Diploma   in   Associate   Engineering   (Major   in   Electronics/  
      Computer Science/ IT) with at least 2nd  division(45% marks)  
      Note:  -  Two  seats  (One  Normal  &  One  Self-support)  are  reserved  for  diploma  holders  in  
      Associate Engineering.    
v) BS (Software Engg.) 4 Year Programme Evening (Self Support) F.Sc   (Pre-engineering/ICS)   and   three   year   diploma   in   Associate   Engineering   (major   in  
      Electronics/ Computer Science/ IT) with at least 60% marks.  
      Note: – Two seats (Self-support) are reserved for diploma holders in Associate Engineering.  
vi)      BBA 4 Year Programme Evening (Self Support) F.A/F.Sc/I.Com and ICS with second division from any recognized institution.  
vii)     BA LLB (Hons) 5 Year Programme (English Medium) F.A/F.Sc/A level or equivalent at least with 2nd  division  
  Evening (Normal)        
viii)  BA B.Ed. (Hons) 4 Year Programme (Normal) F.A/F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    
ix) BS 4 year Programme        
  Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Physics, Mathematics (A+B) F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    
  Statistics.        
x) BS 4 Year Programme   F.A/F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    
  Economics, English, Kashmir Studies, Sociology.      
xi)     BS Medical Technologies 4 Year Degree Programme F.Sc Pre-medical / Pre-Engineering or equalent   with at least 2nd  division(45% marks)  
  (Self –Support) with following Specializations;      
  Anesthesia, Surgical, Cardiovascular ,Radiology, Medical      
  Imaging, Physiotherapy, Laboratory and Dialysis, Technology      
xii)     English Language Courses (IELTS & Spoken English) Minimum Intermediate

(iii) BS(IT) 4 Year Programme Morning (Normal) F.Sc(Pre-Engineering/pre-medical/intermediate/ICS with General Science and Commerce at  
(iv) BS(IT) 4 Year Programme Evening (Self- Support) least with 2nd  division (45% marks)    
(v)   BBA 4 Year Programme  Morning (Normal) F.A/F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    
(vi) BBA 4 Year Programme Evening (Self- Support)      
(vii)   B.Com 4 Year Programme  Morning (Normal) Intermediate or equivalent in any discipline with at least 2nd  Division(45%marks)  
(viii) B.Com 4 Year Programme Evening (Self Support)      
(ix) BS Mathematics 4 year Programme (Self Support)   nd  
F.Sc Pre-Engineering at least with2 division with 45% marks.  
       
(x) BS Public Administration 4 year Programme(Self Support) F.A/F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    
(xi) BS Economics 4 year Programme (Self-Support) F.A/F.Sc at least with 2nd  division    

 

Note: – Self-Support Class will commence provided the minimum strength of student is 40.

 

Eligibility Þ


 

You are eligible to apply if you are/have:

 

(1)     AJ&K National (open merit)

 

(2)       Nominated  against  reserved  Seats  through  nominating  authorities  (i)  College  Teacher’s  son  through  Secretary  colleges  (ii)  School  Teacher’s  son  through

 

Secretary Schools (iii) Army seat through GHQ (iv) Northern Area through Directorate of Education (Gilgit Baltistan) (v) Disabled through Medical Board established by the University (vi) Refugees (Settled in Pakistan & AJK) 25% (vii) Pakistan Nationals one for each province through Chief Secretary. (viii) Sports seat through University Sports Board. (ix) University Teachers & Employees, Son nominated by the Vice Chancellor (x) 25% Quota self supports for AJK National & Others.

 

(3)     Maximum age limit 22 years for under graduate programme. Application forms against nominated seats should reach the Directorate of Students’ Affairs on or before the last date.

(4)     For Self Support (Evening Programme) only eligibility criteria may be relaxed in case of availability of vacant seats.

 

How and where to Apply?

 

The application must be sent on prescribed forms. The prospectus and application forms can be obtained from Directorate of Students’ Affairs, AJK University Muzaffarabad and Deputy Director Students’ Affairs Kotli campus against payment of Rs. 1000/- through HBL Challan available at Authorized branches in AJ&K. Alternatively, by sending Bank draft of Rs. 1100/- drawn in the name of Director Finance & Planning University of AJ&K. Candidate applying for more than one departments/categories should deposit Rs. 300/- per additional form. Completed applications should reach to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs at their concerned campuses not later than 10-10-2012. The application form is available on University website  www.ajku.edu.pk.The Bank Challan of Rs. 1000/- (HBL branches of the University) or Bank Draft of Rs1100/- must be attached with Application Form. Otherwise, the form will not be entertained.

 

Required Documents

 

(1) Attested copies of all educational Certificates. (2) Character Certificate issued by college last attended. (3) Migration Certificate in case of Intermediate other than BISE Mirpur AJ&K. (4) Two copies of each Domicile & State Subject Certificate. (5) Two copies of National Identity Card

 

(6) 4 recent passport size photographs.

 

Admission Schedule

 

  • The last date for receipt of completed applications is 10-10-2012 up to 3:00 PM. Application received after due date will not be entertained.

 

Entry Test will be held on 13-10-2012 for BS (CS), BS (SE) at Muzaffarabad and BS (CS) & BS (IT), BBA, B.Com, BS (Mathematics), BS (Public Administration) & BS (Economics) at Kotli campus.

  • First and Second Merit list will be displayed on 15-10-2012 & 18-10-2012respectively.

 

Admission fee and other dues will be deposited for first & Second merit list from 15-10-2012 to 17-10-2012 & 18-10-2012 to 22-10-2012 respectively. Interviews will commence from the same date. Candidates are required to bring original Documents/Certificates for the verification at the time of interview.
